Getting a job as a video game tester can be pretty hard.  That’s why it’s not a bad idea to check out some of the sites listed that can help you get ahead in the job search process.  The key things you need to qualify are:

-You love video games. (Of course.)

-You are observant. (Game companies want your observations and if you find a bug, you have to be able to repeat it.)

-You’re a good communicator. (You have to submit detailed reports to game companies.)

If you can do all of the above and you’re willing to actually test the games, and not just play them, you’re a great candidate.

Within each game you can download, visit their home page and visit their forum.  The home page contains the announcements for the beta testing and how to join.

Only4Gamers has a fairly decent 3-step plan to get paid to play games. I followed the steps and managed to get started. This one takes a little longer to get rolling, but I was ultimately able to get a game testing job (withing 90 days) for a really popular unreleased game.
